Programs & Activities

In 2017, the Tennessee Performing Arts Center chose Tusculum to be part of their Disney Musicals in Schools program, which helps area schools build and sustain a musical theater program. Each year, third and fourth grade students participate in a Disney Kids musical. They spend months practicing and preparing to perform for their classmates, friends and families.

Our Faculty vs. Fourth Grade basketball game is a cherished tradition at Tusculum. Each year, we send our Fourth Graders off to middle school with a fun basketball game against Tusculum's faculty and staff. 

In addition to our students playing basketball, Third and Fourth grade students can get involved by joining the cheerleading squad or working with our music department to sing the National Anthem at the start of the game. 

Girls in Second through Fourth Grade can join Girl Scouts at Tusculum. Girls earn badges for each meeting they attend and each activity they complete. As part of the entrepreneurship part of Girl Scouts, girls sell cookies to earn money for the troop. These proceeds allow us to offer more activities and badges.

The Girl Scout Council provides a curriculum, materials, snacks, sashes and badges for each unit we complete. Students can join Girl Scouts at no cost for families.

Second through Fourth Graders can participate in the KIDS ROCK Nashville marathon each spring. We start training once a week in January to prepare for the race. Students complete 25.2 miles at school and finish the last mile at Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville on race day in April.
